Don't know if this will help shed any light on this, but I'm getting
slightly different behaviour this morning.  Last night it wasn't connecting
at all, would fail on the initial "setting up suppositories" (or something
like that).  Now it seems to be able to talk to the repo, but with
intermittent problems:
