Try this RPM:

http://bq.solarspeed.net/pub/BlueQuartz/5100R/CentOS4/bluequartz/i386/RPMS/pcre-6.7-1.0.SOL1.i386.rpm

I built it specifically for BlueQuartz as some of my packages also require a 
more modern PCRE to be present.
