The goal is to install a PCI SATA RAID card in a p-III vintage machine for a
cheap NAS box. The question is, will we be limited by the motherboard BIOS
to how big the partitions are, or will the SATA card govern this? Or does
it depend on the card? We are thinking 4 - 500 gb drives in a dual mirrored
array (2 - 500 gb mirrored pairs).

Any thoughts?
