I second that, personally I think that SF is horrendous. However, consider
that what is needed is a neutral place to host the project and better tools
than what we have today. Lets start at SF and will see how it goes, but at
lest lets us give it a try.

While what Brian says about reinventing the wheel makes sense I tend to
agree with Adam in the past I've worked with people running projects at SF
and they've found it slow and unwieldly to work with.
