No, but looking back at this I know why this happened.  You indicated that
while testing you were able to login but did not see any messages and you
then realized you had to also change the line in the .conf that has the
Homedir setting and that after that you were able to download.

Well it sounds to me like your mail client got confused when you checked and
it saw an empty mail box and then you checked again and saw some new and
some old mail.  I saw this once before myself. Do you see where I am going
with this? It was your pop client NOT the server.  If you had properly set
the maildir from the beginning this would not have happened.
