We have a server that will not respond properly to 'yum update'
We get;

[root@bluequartz ~]# yum update
Setting up Update Process
Setting up repositories
Reading repository metadata in from local files

http://bluequartz.org/pub/BlueQuartz/5100R/CentOS4/bluequartz/i386/repod

Trying other mirror.

more mirrors to try.

We tried 

[root@bluequartz ~]# wget

And it just sits there forever ;;

We tried the same command, immeditaely above, on another server and it
works OK.

Any ideas appreciated.
