Helix isn't cheap, is it? I'll look into Flash to see if I can stream into it live. Darrell, two options. Look for Helix server or you can also use Macromedia Flash for it. Regards, Paul Aviles Nickel Networks _____ From: Darrell D. This question is about streaming live media from a BQ server. I would like to be able to "publish" (for lack of a better word) certain multimedia items to be made available in a live media stream to a small number of Internet users, under 50, probably under 20. These certain multimedia items might be as simple as a series of static JPG images (like a slide show), an actual Powerpoint slide show, a pre-recorded AVI or MPG file, or just a webcam's output. The output would be displayed in a webpage that is framed next to a chat application. I currently have a webcast/chat frameset where I am embedding a Windows Media Video format live broadcast next to a chat session, and users are able to chat while watching the broadcast. I would like to do some of my own broadcasts where I can display a series of photos and have users discuss what they see, and then expand that capability to include videos and/or webcam output. I did something similar years ago with Real Producer and Real Server, but don't want to get married again to the Real products. I would like to find a streaming server package I can install on my BQ machine and just connect to it with a remote software encoder. Does anyone have any experience with something like this that could point me in the right direction? Cost is a consideration.8844_2.html (attatchment)(tag is disabled)
