Hello,

This is my first posting to this forum after migrating from a RAQ4 to
Blue Quartz (thanks to Solarspeed who did great job).

When I had my RAQ4 I receiving emails for root by changing the
/etc/aliases file but on my new BQ machine I don't.

If I try:

/usr/sbin/sendmail -v root < /dev/null

It says:

550 5.1.1 <root (at mark) bq.mydomain.net>... User unknown

However if I change the hostname to just mydomain.net I receive the
emails. I think root (at mark) mydomain.net is a legitimate but
root (at mark) by.mydomain.net isn't.

So, my question is how do I keep my chosen sub domain (bq.mydomain.net)
but ensure Sendmail uses root (at mark) mydomain.net?

Thanks in advance for any help, Rob
