Hi,

Hope everyone had a good New Years..

I restarted spamassassin and all was ok....then the next day I get the error
again...restarted and all is fine and the next day error again...

spamd[2775]: prefork: syswrite(6) failed, retrying... at
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.5/Mail/SpamAssassin/ line 554.
Any way to fix this?

Then restart Spamassassin

Hi,

I had to use /etc/rc.d/init.d/sendmail stop and start instead of service
sendmail stop...but all is okay with that.(the reboot also helped)..I check
the maillog and found this

As for mailscanner..I have not made any changes since it was installed via a
pkg.
