For the archives, I got a response similar to this from Brian at NuOnce
Networks (http://www.nuonce.net) with a similar solution, which is to check:

/etc/mail/access

For any dupe lines. Remove the duplicates manually and then try again through
the web interface to make whatever changes were not working before. (Anything
that updated the email bits).
