Yes, the server msut be local
 
I use this method!
  edit /etc/inittab, change
    id:3:initdefault:
    to
    id:1:initdefault:
    then reboot
    When finished change inittab back and reboot

1, How do you boot into single user mode?
2, I assume this requires having the server in front of you (as in not
remote)?

     Shutdown all non essential services (xinetd, httpd, sshd, admserv
and so forth)
     or boot into single user mode (recommended)
    /sbin/quotaoff
    /bin/mv /home/aquota.group /home/aquota.group.orig (save for
possible restore)
    /bin/mv /home/aquota.user /home/aquota.user.orig (save for possible
restore)
   /sbin/quotacheck -cuga
   /sbin/quotaon -aug
I have never done this, but maybe.....

It's an error in the quota data, how do I repair that?
