Hi,
My dev BQ box has had RAID problems for a long time now. It will not
rebuild the array and if I plug the main (still working) drive into a
windows box and look at the partitions with partition magic, I only get errors.
this is the partition table from by good BQ box:
Disk /dev/sda: 120.0 GB, 120034123776 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 14593 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1 * 1 13 104391 fd Linux raid autodetect
/dev/sda2 14 796 6289447+ fd Linux raid autodetect
/dev/sda3 797 927 1052257+ fd Linux raid autodetect
/dev/sda4 928 14593 109772145 5 Extended
/dev/sda5 928 14593 109772113+ fd Linux raid autodetect
This is what is on the BAD Box:
Disk /dev/sda: 160.0 GB, 160041885696 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 19457 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1 * 1 13 104391 fd Linux raid autodetect
/dev/sda2 14 796 6289447+ fd Linux raid autodetect
/dev/sda3 797 1057 2096482+ fd Linux raid autodetect
/dev/sda4 1058 19457 147798000 5 Extended
/dev/sda5 1058 1188 1052226 fd Linux raid autodetect
/dev/sda6 1189 1319 1052226 fd Linux raid autodetect
/dev/sda7 1320 19457 145693453+ fd Linux raid autodetect
Any suggestions as to how to fix this without reformatting the drives
and starting over?
