Hi Gerald,

I've seen plenty of that - not only on BlueQuartz. The problem isn't limited
to MailScanner, but also SpamAssassin, Webmin's "miniserv.pl" and a couple of
other Perl scripts which are supposed to bind themselves to a certain network
port.

The problem usually happens with port 443 or port 444, but I've also seen it
with port 53. No idea why Perl scripts sometimes are so greedy with network
ports. Must be a general bug somewhere in Perl, or the Perl module
responsible for sockets and port bindings.
