Hi there I was searching the list archives, and I came across a posting
that sounds pretty bang on to my issue:

Majordomo how to fix - Aug 2006

Here is the original post:

Hello, on a BQ machine i migrated raq 550 sites
No site can use majordomo only the site that has the same name as the server
Sendmail or majordomo resends the list to the server changing the domain in
the servernaem
I realy have no clue how to fix

----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
3985-zztest-list
(reason: 553 5.3.0 <3985-zztest-list (at mark) server4.xxx.com>... No such user
here)
    (expanded from: 3985-zztest-list)

----- Transcript of session follows -----
... while talking to [127.0.0.1]:
>>> DATA
<<< 553 5.3.0 <3985-zztest-list (at mark) server4.xxx.com>... No such user here
550 5.1.1 3985-zztest-list... User unknown

That is pretty much what is happening with me. The
majordomo (at mark) list.domain.com address reacts as it should with the list
commands, however as soon as I post to the list with a subscribed
addree, I get an error like above. In reading this thread it does not
seem clear as to what is needed to get the lists on a virtual domain to
work. I have ensured that the list admin is a local system user too.

Any ideas?

Dustin
