I am having exactly the same thing ... if I add a new site/add a new
user to an existing site the email doesn't work for the new stuff: 

"Relaying denied. Proper authentication required." 
Until I manually restart sendmail ... this is new (since the last yum I
suspect)
Any blue gurus able to help?
