If ns1.mydomain.com is registered as a name server with the registrars
(ie netsol.com, godaddy.com, ect...) then you must update the record
with them. Any machine that is registered as a name server will be in
the root zones, and thus when someone asks for anything at
mydomain.com, the root servers will hand back your name server address
so the recursive queries can be looked up. Since this address is
handed out by the root servers, you have no way to override it; ie,
you must update your registrar.
