HI

We recently had a site go over quota and Email users were receiving strange
disconnections messages from outlook. Webmail did work, what happens is
that....

Dovecot simply drops the connection when there is an over quota event.

No error message...

We tried telnet domain.com 25 and authenticated the user and after the
password we received a Connection to Host lost.

This time if felt strange to the user because it was the site that was over
quota, not the User.

However everything went fine after giving more space to the site.

I read on the dovecot site that this is a known behaviour.

Some sugestions are offered here
http://wiki.dovecot.org/Quota/FS

Just thought everybody should know, and probably plan a workaround... if its
worth it...

Regards

remove and install again through yum is indeed a solution.
