You might try adding an xfs-kernel-module
ftp://ftp.nluug.nl/pub/os/Linux/distr/CentOS/4.4/centosplus/i386/RPMS/ke
rnel-module-xfs-2.6.9-42.0.2.EL-0.1-3.i686.rpm

This module is for stock kernel 2.6.9-42.0.2.EL, latest CentOS kernel
I would think you could isnmod this module, IIRC xfs.ko
Then install the RaQ550 drive on the system, and have access to it.

The xfs modules are also supposed to be in centosplus repo
