Good thought about cnames for MX records. It really is best to use PTR records. But the
maillog simply says there is no user with that name when any alias is used. I can remove
and reinstall and I get the same bounce. I have also tried to makemap on both access,
aliases, and virtusertable with no success.

It is very strange.
