Hi Steve,

No, these original Cobalt PDFs are pretty ancient (2000-2002) and I as far as
I know they don't cover the specifics you are looking for.

Did you by chance use C-Name records for your domains? With a modern Sendmail
you should not (as in never) use C-Name records for domains. If you do use
them, then you can email to username (at mark) domain.com and username (at mark) host.domain.com,
but emails to alias (at mark) domain.com or alias (at mark) host.domain.com will not work. It
already starts to fail if just the primary host & domain name for the server
itself is a C-Name.

I had similar issues with some clients where aliasses didn't work. Of course
you then hear the usual thing like "This *did* work before on a Cobalt!".
That may be true with the very old Sendmails that the original Cobalts used,
but even Bruce "do not use C-Names" Timberlake has been preaching not to use
C-Names on Cobalts for years. :o)

So this would be the first thing I'd check if email aliasses don't work.
