We haven't needed to make any changes to anything with our mailscanner,
spamassassin and sendmail config.
We did find that sendmail was running on its own and not MailScanner. We had
to stop sendmail and then start mailscanner.
If you haven't already you should do
cd /etc/rc.d/init.d
./sendmail stop
mv sendmail sendmail.old
cp MailScanner sendmail
./sendmail start
This will ensure that any restart of sendmail by the system or GUI will also
restart MailScanner at the same time.
Thanks
