Before you do the update, be sure to change /etd/lilo.conf timeout,
the defalut is 20, but does not give you time to select alternate
kernels.
We use 120, which seems to work well.

We have had problems on some servers with the new kernel, -42 after
update,
but switching to -34 worked...
