how we do sata
set bios for cd boot, no others
here software raid1 is better choice than hardware raid
use sata raid1(mirror) with lilo (grub made problems)
do complete new install with browser then check for Disk Integrity
raid1 can require both disks to start syncing
do not do updates until All drives are functioning normally
then do yum update first time (ok use yum gui after)
then reboot system
then cross fingers very hard
this our way
