I found out a few other things that could be by design, or could just be my
suspect setup skills.

1) Can't log is as root using HyperTerminal for telnet access to the BQ
server.

2) My login, which is a site admin on the GUI, pulled a "Not on the suduers
list" message on telnet. Go figure.

3) Sometimes, you just have to drive the 20 minutes for the ten-second task.

4) Charity clients are just so happy that you get things working for them
eventually.
