Are you sure you are using qpopper?

I ask as you have the line

"disable     = yes"   in your config file

this means the pop3 is disabled here.

Can you run the following (without quotes):

"/etc/rc.d/init.d/dovecot status"



This will tell you if dovecot pop3 is on this server.
