Had a similar problem with a defective ram Stick,
changed almost everything,
...as ram has lifetime guarantee I never thought it could actually fail,

(Murphy's law I guess)

although installation was not Brians CD.

Good Luck

Subject: [coba-e:06204] Nuonce CD kernel panic

I'm hoping somebody can help me figure out what's going wrong here.
After 90+ installs of the NuOnce Centos/BlueQuartz CD (starting with
v2.0) we have encountered the first system that refuses to load. I
have tried the 4.2 and 4.3 Installers.

It kernel-panic's when trying to load after I select which type of
installation I'd like it to perform.

Here is the output:

md: ... autorun DONE.
RAMDISK: Couldn't find valid RAM disk image starting at 0.
VFS: Cannot open a root device "<NULL>" or unknown-block(22,67) Please
append a correct "root=" boot option Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable
to mout root fs on
unknown-block(22,67)

Oddly, we have 5 identical machines that have had no problem loading and
running the software. (Dual-proc AMD, 2GB RAM, dual 250GB HDD). The
only difference in systems is the drives, and I have tried all the way down
to a single 30GB drive but get the same Kernel Panic.

Does anybody have an idea?
