in my archive there is only 1 discussion about something similar which
can only be set through the GUI
(Domain Pointing topic from March)

In the administrative console, click on "Site Management", click on the
'pencil' next to the entry for "www.franksradio.net", and then click on
"Services" on the left-hand menu.
At the bottom of the page for the "Web" entry, the last item listed is the
"Web Server Aliases". "franksradio.net" should be listed there, if not, add
it, otherwise users will only be able to reach your site through
www.franksradio.net and not just franksradio.net. Here is where you can add
"www.franksradio.us" and "franksradio.us".
Once you have saved the configuration, click on "Email" under "Services" on
the left, and enter the "franksradio.us", then save.

if that does not help you can make sure that domain1.tld is going to the
correct IP in your dns and add the name as
ServerAlias in the vhost confir (/etc/httpd/conf/vhost/siteX)
Like:
<VirtualHost 192.168.1.100>
ServerName www.mixfans.org
ServerAlias mixfans.org server.mixfreaks.org
ServerAdmin admin
Cause I am behind a router I always have to do some tweaking to get rid
of the httpd error (NameVirtual bla bla bla)
easy ..
