Is it possible to just export/import the data using CMU.

Situation: I am replacing a RAQ3 with a new BQ box. I have
exported/imported the DNS and all the users, groups etc. but
deliberately didn't import the data (this is a mail server only and I
didn't want all the users having old data in their mailboxes). The plan
is to use netcat on the old server to redirect port 25 and 110 to the
new server (to cover the delay whilst DNS changes propogate) and then
copy the existing uncollected mail onto the new server. Once the DNS
changes have 'taken' I would then switch off the old server.

... or is there a better way of doing this?
