Got a serious problem on the Nuonce bluequartz 4.3

Our POP3 is timing out

The maillog is getting a string of messages from Dovecot:

Jun 26 12:13:41 swift6 dovecot: pop3-login: Disconnected: Inactivity: 
method=PLAIN, rip=xx.xxx.xxx.xx, lip=xx.xx.xx.xx
Jun 26 12:13:41 swift6 dovecot: pop3-login: Disconnected: Inactivity:

Any ideas?
