i have removed sendmail from /etc/yum.repos.d/CentOS-Base.repo 'Base' and
'Updates' sections.

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to check.. 

Has sendmail recently been removed from the bq yum repo?

There are users saying that its a standard centos rpm now.

If so, what are the consequences? Do we have to do anything?
