try ssh into the server and do an ftp test from the server itself just =
to eliminate any external network issues, preferably with a large file =
up and down to see how it goes, then do it from another linux box and =
then from windows/wintar to compare and let us know the outcome.

I'm using a copy of wintar on a PC to tar it up. FTP using WS_FTP

single tar file all is OK.
Hope this helps,

Subject: [coba-e:05720] FTP Access Slow
With thanks to everyone who helped me out, I now have a lightning =
fast=20
connection to my server over FTP.
However, now, the FTP transfer is painfully slow.
Over 100MBytes of data, I got an average of 38KBit/sec sending to my =
server
(which is in the same room!) on a 100MBit connection!=20
Is there anywhere I should be looking, to see why it's going so =
slowly?
The plainer english the answer, the better!!
Thanks again!
