The best way to check the rom version is via serial console.
If you do not have access to a serial console, install the cmos tool.
rpm -ivh http://www.osoffice.co.uk/linux/tools/cmos-2.0.9-1.i386.rpm
cmos -c romrev
Will give you your rom version. The verison number you are looking for is:
2.4.25
If you do not have this version you will need to flash the rom
