	Good point, the access time did improve after I swapped out the
network cable

	It is odd. The load can get quite high during admserv usage, but
falls right back down again once you log out. I am 	discounting the
router MTU though, as 5 other Raq550 / Bluequartz platforms run off the
switch as well, with no issues.

Tail -f /var/log/admserv/adm_error and see what happens when you log in and
out; it might give you an explanation why the load rise.
