Hi Arthur,
It's no problem using FTP for me, but I have a user who
uses ONLY FP's FTP upload facility... they have a user
account set up, but when they log in as that user, the
server goes, by default, to the user's web, not the site
web.
Now as I understand, the site web is a level or two HIGHER
Than the user's web on the same site. Getting FP to go up
a level, I have found, is not possible.
There are two entries in the GUI for connecting... one is
"Server" - in which I enter ftp://villa.icehot.tv. The
Second is the 'upload directory' - in which I enter /web
(the user account does have 'Site administrator' privilege)
I'm just confused.

Hi Ross,
Not sure if I got it right - do you want to go to /web by default when
uploading with ftp or FP?
If this is ftp: edit proftpd.conf
I have this to allow admin users to log in right into /web:
In Global: DefaultChdir /web site-adm
If you play with DefaultRoot and DefaultChdir (check proftpd docs on the
site) you could achieve what you want, even per on per site basis.
Best,
