Colin,
Try the following:
1. perl -pi -e 's/old_ip/new_ip/' /home/restore/cmu.xml
2. /usr/sbin/cmuImport -d /home/restore

Already done this ... using 2.53 on the RAQ and 2.55 (I think) on BQ ...
Brian Smith's advanced backup pkg.
When I did a test run /usr/sbin/cmuImport -d /home/restore it worked fine
except the IP was wrong
I then wiped the OS (after playing with various things) and reinstalled
fresh ready to go live ... except I won't!
Thanks
Colin

On the raq3 make sure you have version 2.53 of the CMU installed.
ftp://ftp-eng.cobalt.com/pub/users/jeffb/cmu/experimental/RaQ4-All-CMU-2
.53.pkg
On the BQ machine get the testing version:
wget
http://bluequartz.org/pub/BlueQuartz/5100R/CentOS4/testing/i386/RPMS/510
0R-cmu-2.61-0BQ13.centos4.noarch.rpm
then
rpm -U 5100R-cmu-2.61-0BQ13.centos4.noarch.rpm
