On the raq3 make sure you have version 2.53 of the CMU installed.
ftp://ftp-eng.cobalt.com/pub/users/jeffb/cmu/experimental/RaQ4-All-CMU-2.53.pkg

On the BQ machine get the testing version:
wget
http://bluequartz.org/pub/BlueQuartz/5100R/CentOS4/testing/i386/RPMS/5100R-cmu-2.61-0BQ13.centos4.noarch.rpm

then
rpm -U 5100R-cmu-2.61-0BQ13.centos4.noarch.rpm
