Hi people,
Don,
I like your forum (the only lack is a post number).
We can smartly join several resources in order to lower load on single
server.
Say, you server could hold wiki (BQDP?) and forum, mine would take care of
mailing list or else... The more the smarter the better.
I want to state as follows:
1. I do not need any credit for anything I have done and will do within BQ
community. It is my community and I am interested in its well-being..
2. I can not provide an entire dedicated server for this need but half of
it. The server I have mentioned before is a brand new hw. The server
currently holds only ~10 low level domains.
3. the hw, bandwith and what it takes to control co-lo and local regulations
is almost(?) all I myself can do for this purpose. As most of you I have a
business (small) to run and I live in middle-east... So we have to decide
who will take a responsibility for administration and maintenance (could be
rotated). These persons will have a root access on the server.
4. I have a great appreciation for BQ devs - no kidding. Latest post by
Hisao and others are right. Their time is better spent for further
development of the appliance, rather then teaching me Linux. There are
people, like me, quite new to *nix, and having to adaptate/learn rapidly -
this is the users list for - to join and exchange our efforts and knowledge,
in order to save time.
Best,
--
