One of my servers reports this to me tonight:

Output of /proc/mdstat
------------------------------------
Personalities : [raid1]
md2: active raid1 sdb2[1] sda2[0]
       6289344 blocks [2/2] [UU]

md4: active raid1 sdb3[1] sda3[0]
       2096384 blocks [2/2] [UU]

md5: active raid1 sdb5[1] sda5[0]
       1052160 blocks [2/2] [UU]

md3: active raid1 sdb6[1] sda6[0]
       1052160 blocks [2/2] [UU]

md1: active raid1 sdb7[2](F) sda7[0]
       145693376 blocks [2/1] [U_]

md0: active raid1 sdb1[1] sda1[0]
       104320 blocks [2/2] [UU]

If I read this correctly, I have one failed partition on the
secondary drive - yes?

I would like to remove the failed drive and reinsert the same drive
and let it rebuild. I expect they simply got out of sync (possible?)

Do I have to remove the drive to do this or can I simply tell it to
rebuild now?

Suggestions appreciated.

- Bill
