Have a go at adding the wildcard option in zoneedit as per Taco's mail.
Hi there,

Or even better: ask them to add a wildcard: *.domain.tld
Then <anyname>.domain.tld will resolve to your BQ machine.

Hi Howie,
in fact all is correct
the mixfreaks.xs4all.nl is the hostname I put up at the ISP config centre
for my fixed dsl line the dns is correct for almost all my domains at
zoneedit who gives me control about my domains the domains are registered
mostly through gandi.net
the thing is what I want is to do as less as possible in control
centers: I work with subdomains and aliases through the httpd.conf I have
and yes I put them in zoneedit. Working flawlessly
But I thought that if I could create a VHOST and add it directly to my own
DNS than it could be directly served to the users using it...
But that's probably totally a wrong thought.
As I know there are no any free dns servers in Holland like Zoneedit.
and that's why I use zoneedit.
So than I conclude that I am already doing to okay thing ;-)
