Michael, 

I added your directory block to my conf files, figured it couldn't hurt.
Didn't change anything.  So, I figured it might be related to me running
2.7.0.1.  So I updated to 2.8.0.3 and now I can duplicate the problem
anymore, either.  ;-)

So, updating to the latest version fixed it.  Thanks for your help, you kept
pointing me forward.  Solarspeed rulez!  And all is good tonight...
