Also, what install did you use?  I used "phpMyAdmin v2.7.0-pl2 for the BQ
Appliance Server" package from www.webmerch.com, although when I visit their
site now, there is NOTHING there except a shell.  I wonder what happened?

I can't replicate that problem. Even through https over the public apache or

through https over the admserv my phpMyAdmin loads just fine. With the .css.
