Because not everyone knows everything...
   
  Burning a bootable ISO image is different than copying an ISO image.
  Copying just copies an exact ISO image to the new CD leaving it unbootable.
  Burning extracts the various files contained within the original ISO image, then copies them to the new CD making it bootable.
  On a bootable CD you will see multiple files.
   
  To properly burn a bootable ISO image, I use Nero 7 (6 is the same).
   
  1. select Backup
   
  2. click the Burn Image to disk option
   
  3. you get a dialog box to locate the ISO file
   
  4. locate file
   
  5. click Open
   
  6. you get the Burn Compilation dialog box (the default settings should work OK)
   
  7. click the burn button
   
  In Nero 5.5, the feature is on the File menu.
