Brians final note on the subject was article http://bluequartz.org/ml/archive/coba-e/3300/3343.html This would allow the adding of a vhost the same as the box. However if you change the domain or IP of the box, this vhost isn't linked so you also have to update it manually in the Virtual Site List.
How can the 2 be truely linked ?
