I am not sure if this has been touched on or not, but I do realize since
I gave the /boot 99mb, it can fill up quickly. BUT, the best & safest way
to remove old kernels
rpm -qa | grep kernel
kernel-2.6.9-22.0.1EL
kernel-2.6.9-22.0.1ELsmp
kernel-2.6.9-22.0.2EL
kernel-2.6.9-22.0.2ELsmp
(decide what you want to get rid of)
yum remove kernel-2.6.9-22.0.1EL kernel-2.6.9-22.0.1ELsmp
yum remove kernel-2.6.9-22.0.2EL kernel-2.6.9-22.0.2ELsmp
reboot
I tested this on 1 test box, and on 1 production system (my own). Both
systems did come backup. No intervention required. I know it says at
your own risk. If you want to know why, google "Murphy's Law".
