It is not fstab but /proc/partitions...
I have the same Problem with a FC1-BQ on a Software-Raid...
You can try to force-rebuild with quotacheck -augf or something like  
that...
Other way ist remove /home/[a]quota.* and reboot ...
Best way is not use these Promise- or HighPoint-Raids :-)
