Hm. Either way it is definitely 'not normal'. I'd do a reboot and let  
dbrecover do what it can. After that I'd remove and re-add both sites  
because its clearly broken them. After that monitor it very closely  
for a while. It might have been a one off but it could be the sign of  
some deeper problems.
