I did those updates in May 2008, so the details of what I did there are now
somewhat foggy to me. In fact there were several versions of the pwdb to
shadow conversion for BlueQuartz.

One version had an extra GUI page under "Server Management" / "System
Settings" that was called "User database". It allowed you to manually do the
pwdb to shadow conversion. Or it simply showed "You have already ran the
conversion tool. Nothing to do" if you already had converted.

Another version of it didn't have that GUI page. Instead it automatically did
the conversion during the YUM update.

It's easy to check, though. If you have installed those updates and the GUI
page "User database" is missing, then check /etc/passwd to see if site users
show up in it. If they do, you're converted to shadow. If it only shows system
users like admin and root, but not any site users, then you're still using
pwdb.

Do I still recomend to use the updates listed on the URL you quoted? That
depends. I'd rather suggest to go with BlueOnyx, unless you still need legacy
stuff like ASP or Frontpage.
