Subject: [coba-e:15802] Qube 3 "Kernel Panic" mesage.

Hi,

this is my first email to bluequartz mailing list.

Looking for information about installing and starting up Qube 3 I found your
group and as I can read in your posts, and are experts in Cobalt software I
have some questions about Qube 3 machine.

Recently I got a Qube 3 Pro (raid) and when I try to install SB for this
machine o any other OS like Bluequartz I got a kernerl panic. And I try to
install the original restore cd and when finish and boot I got a kernel
panic mesage.

The Qube 3 has changed the original firmware rom because the last OS
installed was Gentoo Linux.

The firmware version is 2.10.3-ext3.

Reading in forums and web pages I got an information about that the vmlinuz
file is diferent in gentoo and that I have to change the path of this file
into cmos in order to install and boot the system.

Its true this last information?

How I can modify or restore this parameters to default value?

Can you helpme?

There are distros compatibles with this Qube 3 and firmware version is
2.10.3-ext3?

I dont know how to solve this problem.

Thanks.

Robert.
