Hi Hisao,

What appears to be happening is that when it goes wrong I can login okay:

[root (at mark) server7 ~]# /usr/sbin/swatch -c /etc/swatch.conf
[root@server7 ~]# telnet localhost 21
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.
Escape character is '^]'.
220 FTP Server ready.
quit
221 Goodbye.

But I cannot list, get or put files ...

I have tried execute '/usr/sbin/swatch -c /etc/swatch.conf' but nothing obvious ... no errors that I can see.

Where else should I look?

Thanks

Colin

Hi Colin,

Could you try to execute '/usr/sbin/swatch -c /etc/swatch.conf'.
This will check all services, if some check script will be waiting
for time out for a long time.
It maybe some error will be occurred.

Regards,
Hisao
