Google told you half-correctly.  CentOS 4 does not have PAE kernel 
support.  You'll need to try kernel-hugemem instead.   You can yum 
install kernel-hugemem if you like.

CentOS 5 (on which BlueOnyx is based) does, of course, support PAE kernel.
